Jessica emailed me about tacos. I got hungry for tacos. The next few days was texting each other about eating tacos. Here is the Al Pastor Roast Pork taco from Great Burrito.

Ruchi (Shonali’s sister) and Francis came in to town. We had a bite at Pinche Taqueria. The guy there says it’s Citysearch’s #1 fish taco. Usually I don’t trust Citysearch awards, but they did good. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. Then after, Christy, Jody and I headed over the bridge to the Richardson for pickles and upside down Budweisers. The waitress said I was special.

Alright, everyone is probably sick of my karaoke by now, but I was inspired by American Idol last night.
Dinner at this Dominican restaurant in the lower east side, El Castillo De Jagua. I ordered the Mofongo (mashed plantains with pork skin and dipping sauce). The sauce was tomato based with shredded pork meat and potatoes. It was pretty much a soup in itself. I also had the Sancocho soup (a Spanish stew/soup with nice pork chunks). Great affordable food. I’ve read the Cuban sandwich is pretty baddass.
Then off the Living Room to catch my next-door neighbors in Ghost Gamblers and to meet up with friends, which we then got some tacos at San Loco. Me So Full.

I got to the Bacon Takedown too late. But did find a taco cart on Bedford and Metropolitan. So still happy times.
