Lunch for Keith’s birthday around the block at Rogue. This place is more of a sports bar than a restaurant. I tried their New York Burger (9 oz burger marinated with fresh ginger, fresh garlic, sesame oil, egg, ketchup and worchester sauce). It’s doesn’t sound much like a “New York burger.” Their Rogue burger (8 oz beef burger on a brioche sesame bread served with lettuce, tomato and onion) seems more NY. It was alright for a sports bar. Had a spiced up lamb street cart flavor. Makes me wonder how they can charge $11 for the burger, when you can get Shake Shack down the street and even a Peter Luger burger for a bit less. However, I gotta stop comparing. Peter Luger isn’t next to my work and Shake Shack doesn’t have 20 flat screens.
