When I go to a Thai restaurant these days, I get the feeling that if I order the Pad Thai, I’m not being adventurous enough. Remember ten years ago, when Thai was exotic? Now it seems just as normal as Chinese food, at least in New York. Pad Thai is the new Fried Rice? I did order this plate below (from Ponsgri) with calamari, hoping that would be more exotic. But maybe calamari is the new shrimp?
