I don’t know why they advertise this Bud Light Lime Margarita beer during football, but it worked. I wanted a 12-pack box. Although, it’s so hard to find in NYC. I’ve looked at all the bodegas and supermarkets. No luck. Todd was helpful enough to ride his bike to Beverage World near the BQE at Manahattan Ave and Richardson/Meeker in Williamsburg/Greenpoint. They only had tall boys (24 ounces) and Todd got me two ($3 each).

It doesn’t quite taste like what I thought it would. It’s not a margarita and doesn’t have tequila. It’s a “malt beverage with a refreshing splash of Bud Light Lime.” It’s like Boone’s Farms or Bartles & Jaymes. Very sweet and highly alcoholic (8%). And this being 24 oz, it’s 660 calories per can. Dang. I had to pour half it down the sink. It was interesting to try, but I’m not desperate. Now what to do with the other tall boy in my fridge.

You should’ve had a Chelada. They’re actually pretty damn good.
