St. Anselm gets packed all the time and the wait is long. Todd taught me a trick. Go early. I showed up five minutes before opening at 5pm. There were a few people waiting around. Half were actually waiting for Spuyten Duyvil bar and the other two for St. Anselm. It worked. I got a seat easily at the bar.

I went with the relatively cheap $16 Butcher’s Steak (Hangar) with Garlic Butter. It’s a good deal. I wouldn’t say it’s better than the Lamb Saddle I’ve had before, but pretty good.

The Pan-Fried Mashed Potatoes w/ Truffle Oil ($7) were pretty tasty. Came out totally different than I imagined. But good.
