The sale tag says C-Town, but we were in an Associated that just changed their name to Bravo! Supermarket. And is Super A a West Coast supermarket chain?
It wasn’t the sale that drew me these Super A cans of pasta, it was the labels. Besides the old fashioned generic design, I wondered if the food really looked as good as the flash photo’d picture. It does! Â But surprisingly, the Beef Ravioli wasn’t as bad as I expected. Tasted like Chef Boyardee. I still have a can of Spaghetti & Meatballs if anyone wants it.
I live in Southern California and I’ve never heard of super A.
Go to there website and you’ll see they are all located in the L.A. area, and cater largely to Latinos.
Wow Chef Boyardee takes me back…I used to stock the pantry with Beefaroni and Spaghetti. They even have the small versions in the vending machine at work, I think I’ll have one today.
i just bought super a spaghetti sauce. i didn’t like it. but i’m not sure if that’s because it tasted bad or if i couldn’t get past the fact that it was super a brand. i know, marketing/brainwashing has gotten a hold on me.
I love Chef Boyardee ravioli! I just bought 5 cans because it was on sale at .99/each. I like to take it to work for lunch. I’d take you up on that offer… but I live in the midwest and shipping probably wouldn’t be worth it from NY!
