It was a super hot New York day, when I walked around trying to decide what to eat. I must’ve walked around for 45 mins in that heat, trying to avoid carbs. In the end, I ended up at Luu’s Baguette in Kips Bay and ordered a hot bowl of Pho Noodles. I don’t know if I was stupid or just delirious. It was a pretty good bowl though.
I got the Pho Tai (Raw Beef of Eye Round $6.95). They weren’t kidding. It was quite rare in the middle of the slices, which made it a little chewy. But overall, it was rather good. Super quick and pretty cheap for not having to go to Chinatown.
I saw a guy eating the Banh Mi sandwich. It looked really big.

Let me also take the opportunity to promote my label’s newest release —The Levitations. It was an album that was supposed to come out about 13 years ago by a guy that used to be in the The Rock*A*Teens. He’s now a peach farmer in Georgia and most of it still remains a mystery. It’s real dirty rock n roll. Out on iTunes, Spotify, Amazon, etc.
I’ve never heard of this restaurant. I’m always on the lookout for some good Viet food, so thanks!
