I’ve always passed on Tasty Hand-Pulled Noodles because it was too new …how could it possibly be better than the Lan Zhou Hand Pulled Noodles on East Broadway? Well it got props in both recent Cheap Eats lists in NY Mag and Time Out NY. So curiosity sat in and headed out there for lunch with Jimmy and Emilio. Jimmy’s a big time Chinese noodle fan so I respect his opinion. He loved it and thought the broth was flavorful. Emilio and I enjoyed it as well. The pork bone noodle soup took a little longer, but was worth the wait. Look at those joint ball bones! You don’t see the guy out pulling the noodle like at Lan Zhou, but I did see a cook with a black eye. Maybe he got whacked by a swinging noodle.
