Went to see my old friend, Andrea’s film “I Remember Andrea” –a documentary of how she hired a stripper to impersonate her at her 10th year high school reunion. There was a lot of press a few months ago – Good Morning America, Larry King, Yahoo! front page. It turned out really well and funny. I’m proud of Andrea and my other friends that worked on it.
Afterwards, we all headed over to Angels & Kings bar in the East Village. There was an event called Vegan Drinks. I asked about it and the guy says you can sign up and you get 30seconds to pitch/promote yourself. I was going to do that and promote my food blog. Good thing I didn’t, because it all ended up being for Vegan/Animal Rights causes. I was trying to tip-toe out of the bar to a girl who was emotionally trying to find someone to adopt a puppy. Awkward.
Some of us went across the street so we can eat and talk at Westville East. I got the Newport Steak sandwich. I tasted everyone’s food. I loved the brussel sprouts. I don’t think I had brussel sprouts since I was a kid. They are good now. Trust me. Good Traditional American food here.
