Kashmir Restaurant Buffet

Holly and I were planning on meeting up with Midtownlunch Zach for a lunch adventure, but unfortunately it fell through. So we took a cue from his latest post and went to Kashmir Buffet. Upstairs $5.99/lb take out. Downstairs in the cave, all you can eat $7.99. Plenty of selections including kabab, chicken tikka, lamb and my favorite, saag spinach. The dessert goop is tasty. I came in thinking this place would be really sketchy, but I found it pretty fancy. I’m sure that’s just my taste. I grew up at Disney World and the fake cave rock walls are second nature to me. They had two big TVs. One playing a Bollywood movie and the other playing All My Children. I enjoyed it. The dining room was empty which I like, but I understand when Zach says that’s something to wonder about.

Chennai Garden Lunch Buffet To Go

You sit in Chennai Garden and eat the buffet for $6.95 or take out for $6.95. They give you an aluminum container, a small plastic container, a styrofoam plate and some foil. It’s like working with a puzzle, but I did my research. I tried to use this Yelp guy’s tips on take-out, but apparently he could have maximized by using the plate for food too instead of worry about his wussy hands. I got two giant stuffed meals out of it. This could be a great economical date. Ask the date to go hide around the corner while you duck into the restaurant. Bring the food to the park and stuff her face with paneer.

This is a really good vegetarian buffet for the money. The only thing keeping me from coming back often is feeling like an asshole in the buffet line.

Deepam $6 Indian Buffet

$6 Grand Opening lunch buffet! Oh no meat. Just a few veggies. Oh this is why it’s only $6.
One cool thing is that they have bread that’s kind of like Ethiopian crepe.

Copper Chimney – Lunch Buffet in Curry Hill

Pierro told Matt. Matt told me. We all go to the all you can eat Indian lunch buffet $8.99. This broke all my preconceptions –it wasn’t packed, food was tasty, wasn’t overly spicy, they had many options, many different meats, plenty of sauces. It was like the United States of Tara. Those ads creep me out.
