Jerusalem Steak House II

It was the day before Thanksgiving and we had a half day at work. I decided to make the trek to Di Fara Pizza in Midwood. My friend Jeremy wrote on Facebook that he went out there last week and there was no line at around 3pm. I was excited to finally try the pizza. But when I got there, it was packed. I walked around the neighborhood, saw a raggedy Mikey Mouse handing out fliers and came back closer to 3. There was still a crowd.

So I went to eat a block away at Jerusalem Steak House II. Figured that sounded good in this heavily Jewish neighborhood. The menu is a bit pricey, but they had a $8.99 sandwich lunch special. I got the beef kabob sandwich. Came in a fresh warm lafa (pita) bread, filled with beef, french fries, hummus, tahini, hot sauce, lettuce and tomato. It was really really good. French fries should be stuffed in every sandwich …and with that bread too. Complimentary olives, pickles and spicy pickled radish.

I was so stuffed, but I did wobble my way back to Di Fara because you know I had to … post forthcoming.
