I found this bottle of whisky at my local liquor store –Ron Burgundy of Anchorman 2. The promotional campaign is a little odd. They have a life-size cutout of Will Ferrell in the store, but no mention of why. I just happened to find the bottle on the shelf …and if I didn’t see the Will Ferrell cutout earlier, I would have never made the connection.

Day 6 of the Shonali Bhowmik tour: Suzy and Vickie picked me up to go to my first Drive-In. A double feature —Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark and Fright Night. It was really cool. You can get out of your car and drink. I got a Corn Dog and a Chili Cheeseburger (where the chili was squirted into a little ketchup cup). I don’t really know why I ordered all this and why I finished it.

Australian Meat Pies from Tuck Shop
These pics are from a while back when Australia’s Darren Hanlon crashed on our couch. To show us his gratitude, he hosted Australian Night. Darren picked up some meat pies & sausage rolls (from Tuck Shop), Aussie beer (Coopers Pale Ale) and we watched one of his old favorites Wake in Fright with friends. Ketchup & minced meat, beer and a creepy Outback movie –made for a good Australian Night!
